3 articulated lorries, 200 lighting fixtures, 80 stage decks, Multiple LED video walls and less than 10 hours to build…
Our production team recently took over Wembley Stadium to deliver a large & complex awards dinner to over 1000 guests for the UKCXA.
The UK Customer Experience Awards is the biggest CX event of its kind in the world celebrating and promoting excellence in customer experience.
The client’s vision was to deliver a spectacular & engaging, but fun, awards ceremony followed by an action packed after party for guests to celebrate their CX success..
To achieve this, our AV team delivered a dramatic staging solution incorporating multiple video walls that streamed presenters from 5 broadcast cameras & clearly displayed all awards videos around Wembley’s ‘Great Hall’. With a complex array of pre-recorded & live content to present to the audience our video technicians were kept busy throughout the evening & utilised Qlab sound & video control software to create a seamless experience to the seated guests.
Covering everything from lighting, audio, video and pyrotechnics. Our in-house lighting designer used a massive package of fixtures to wash the room in vivid colour for dinner as well as created lighting stings for the awards and post dinner after party entertainment.
For audio, we specified a large L-acoustics line array in conjunction with an Allen & Heath SQ5 Digital mixing desk to achieve an even coverage and ensure the sound was clear & crisp in every seat.
Our on-site team rigged all of the equipment in good time, despite access time restraints from the venue who had sold room before, & after, the show. On event day, it was our technicians’ time to shine, led by our talented project manager Mark Anson who coordinated the team perfectly to ensure a smooth audiovisual transmission & a delighted customer. Here’s to the next one!
